I'm a Senior Product Designer and Design Leader with over two decades of experience shaping digital products, scaling platforms, and leading UX/UI strategy that drives measurable business growth. I specialize in turning complex, data-dense systems into intuitive, consumer-grade experiences.
Currently, I serve as Lead Designer at ChemPoint, where I've spent six years owning UX/UI for chempoint.com, our primary lead-generation platform, along with ingredientpoint.com and our product websites. That work has driven measurable gains in engagement and conversions. I've also contributed to Stax (an internal AI document management system), the ChemPoint logged-in experience, and ChemPoint Connect (a secure supplier portal).
Alongside this, I run Ruston Design, my own studio, where I take on end-to-end product ownership beyond client work. My latest build is DraftRoof, a satellite-based roof measurement SaaS that I designed and built solo, from the mapping architecture through pricing and payments. It's now in active conversations for its first paid licensing client, and it's the clearest proof point of how I work when I own the full stack: strategy, design, and execution.
I bring that same ownership mindset to Ruston Therapy, which I co-founded and now advise. I architected the full digital platform, building a flexible Webflow CMS and integrating secure scheduling through Tebra to create a frictionless patient journey. That foundation helped the practice grow from 1 to 20 therapists and pass $1 million in revenue by year two.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge UX craft with technical fluency and business strategy. I design systems that scale because I understand how to build and run them, not just spec them. I also stay close to how design is evolving, using AI-assisted workflows and tools like Figma Make, Claude Code, and CodeSandbox to move quickly from concept to testable prototype.
I'm currently based in Irvine, CA with plans to relocate to New York for family reasons, and I'm open to full-time Product Design leadership roles where I can bring this same ownership in-house.
