Jason Ruston

I am a Senior Product Designer and Design Leader with over two decades of experience shaping digital products, scaling platforms, and leading UX/UI strategy that drives measurable business growth. I specialize in turning complex, data-dense systems into intuitive, consumer-grade experiences.

Currently, I serve as Lead Designer at ChemPoint, where I direct the UX/UI strategy for enterprise platforms, internal AI tools, and supplier-facing systems. Beyond hands-on execution, I mentor and empower a team of four designers, fostering a culture of autonomous problem-solving and high craft. My work here includes leading the full UX design for complex authenticated environments, such as secure quoting, ordering, and account management flows. I have also designed scalable design systems and intuitive platforms like Stax (an internal AI document management system) and ChemPoint Connect (a secure supplier portal), delivering a 40% lift in engagement and conversions.

As the founding Product Owner of Ruston Therapy (where I now serve as an advisor), I architected the complete digital presence and platform strategy. Leveraging my expertise in HTML/CSS, I built a highly flexible Webflow CMS and seamlessly integrated secure scheduling tools (Tebra) to create a frictionless patient journey. This digital foundation directly facilitated our rapid scaling, driving over $1 million in revenue by year two and supporting the expansion of our clinical team from 1 to 20 therapists.

Through my independent consultancy, I have also partnered with B2B and enterprise clients to drive digital transformation, UX strategy, and scalable web platform development, helping traditional businesses modernize their digital footprints.

What sets me apart is my ability to bridge UX craft with technical realities and business strategy. I don't just design interfaces; I build experiences that scale. To keep my workflows at the cutting edge, I actively leverage AI and "vibe coding" for rapid ideation, using tools like Figma Make, Claude Code, CodeSandbox, and VS Code to bridge the gap between static design and testable prototypes. I thrive at the intersection of design, business, and technology, helping organizations solve complex challenges through user-centered design.
